Dr. Rosenbaum & Associates
A Great Dentist

"I love this dentist! From the first moment I walked in here they were very kind and professional! My son needed to have a root canal so he had to be seen about four times and each and every time the Dentist was gentle and professional. My son saidhe was not in a lot of pain which was good. We came all the way from the Bay Areabecause I found their prices to be good. I would for sure recommend them!" - Debra G.

Tooth-Colored Fillings and Dental Bonding

Most patients will need a filling during their lifetime simply because of our modern diets and busy – often stressful –lifestyles that sometimes prevent us from taking the best care of our teeth. Fillings used to be made from amalgam material that was a blend of metals that left a dark spot on your tooth

At Dr. Rosenbaum and Associates, we believe that dentistry can be both restorative and attractive so that your smile can look as great as it feels.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Decay is the number one preventable disease that affects children in the United States. In fact, according to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), 95% of Americans will have a cavity by the time they reach adulthood.

Caused by bacteria, decay eats away the enamel that protects your tooth. Once your enamel is breached, decay can attack the area of your tooth near your nerve. Without treatment, you can experience pain, require a root canal, and even lose your tooth.

Drs. Forsberg, Malogan, Street, and Swanberg focus on early detection in order to catch decay while it is small and more manageable. They will gently remove all signs of decay and fill the area with white composite material that matches your tooth. This allows us to provide you with a seamless appearance while still protecting your tooth and sealing out food and bacteria.

Benefits of White Fillings

In addition to the natural appearance of composite fillings, they also require less removal of your tooth structure, making them less invasive than their amalgam (silver) predecessors.

Composite fillings are long lasting and strong. With the proper care, they provide many years of reliability and protection.

Dental Bonding for Repairs and Cosmetic Improvements

If you have small cosmetic flaws such as chips, gaps, or misshapen teeth, cosmetic dental bonding may provide you with an affordable and effective solution. In some cases, we can use the same tooth-colored composite material that we use for fillings to repair your teeth.

Because bonding adds to your existing tooth structure, it provides a non-invasive solution to smaller cosmetic concerns. Many of our patients appreciate being able to improve their smiles without extensive dental procedures.

Tooth-Colored Fillings and Teeth Whitening

It is important to remember that composite material will not whiten the same way as your natural teeth. If you would like whiter teeth, it is a good idea to whiten your teeth prior to having composite fillings or dental bonding so you have a natural-looking result.
